Erfahrungsbericht einer Teilnehmerin des Internationalen Jugendgipfels 2025 im Regionalen Weimarer Dreieck

„My name is Adelina Diakova and I had the honour of representing the Youth Council of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration (Dnipro, Ukraine) at the Weimar Triangle Youth Summit 2025.
First of all, I am deeply grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to bring the Ukrainian voice to this important event.
The entire programme was filled with inspiring and thought-provoking activities. The main theme of this year’s summit – games – turned out to be truly fascinating. Games accompany us from childhood, shaping our imagination, communication and even our worldview. Their influence on our lives is far greater than we often realize.
Through lectures and discussions, we explored games from very different perspectives: democracy, environmental challenges, and industry. One of the highlights for me was Gamescom – the annual international video game exhibition. It gave me a new understanding that games today are not just entertainment, but an essential part of culture and everyday life.
Equally memorable was the dialogue with politicians from Germany, France and Poland. I came away with a strong impression: yes, we represent different nations, but we share common challenges – and also common values that can unite us. And sometimes, something as universal as games can become a bridge between us.
I sincerely thank the entire organizing team for creating such a meaningful summit. It not only gave us knowledge but also friendships and a deeper understanding of the importance of games in shaping our present and future.“
